It's going to be so different. Dispensers are going to be invaluable, teleporters can have a completely different use altogether (escape teleporters to a dispenser), and level 3 sentries are going to be almost non-existant.
And thats just Engy. Medics are going to be more rewarding (and a bigger target) than usual, the Kritzkrieg is going to be useful for a change, the Flare gun will also be a good tool for whittling down enemy health.
I'm actually getting quite excited for this. Mostly because I want to play on the green map
. But also because I can't wait to see what they've done to the current 3 that they're crossing over.
The only thing i'm not sure about is critical hits. Usually i'm all for them, they can be very handy and i dont mind being killed by them. However when there's no respawn I think i'd prefer them to be disabled. I'm sure a lot of servers will disable them, because this gamemode in general seems a lot more 'serious'.
Edit: Ha. Reading the Steam forums thread and I just got to a bit where they mirror my thoughts on the crits exactly for this new gamemode.
