The SP campaign is so short, graphics are ok.

was expecting another shitty western FPS. I was surprised with decent game. It wasn't a Bioshock or S.T.A.L.K.E.R., but it was very playable.

Played Narbacula drop so the gameplay was expected. The levels were better though still followed that same basic pattern.

@Miggle, SysShock2 surprised me so much because even though I'd played Dues Ex I didn't believe that a game with such poor graphical quality could be so atmospheric, thrilling and just plain scary.

um surprised me? Well I expect a game to above a certain quality so BioShock, surprised me with how much fail it contained. Way to fail at making a Deus Ex like game. Seriously they could bring out deus ex 3 on the deus ex engine and it would be better than bioshock. "You have this really deep choice man" - fucking hippy designer. Wow choices choices, so much choice for a gamer most people bent over and took it up the arse from this game claiming it was the best thing ever.

Ratchet and Clank future, really never thought a 3d platformer could be this awesome ever again since mario 64.

MGS4, I really didn't expect it to be so much of an improvement over the older versions.

Dk2 still surprises me with how its the best game ever made.

having played System Shock 2, it's very hard to play Bioshock because it's been dumbed down so much for the consoles.

Bioshock looked great but was a complete disappointment as far as how linear it was- no real choices and in the end it really made no difference, the cut scenes where just pretty much the same. Not even close to being in anyway an RPG. Sorry I bought it and sorry I played thru a second time. I expected so much more from the hype before release.
System Shock 2... never expected to even like that game (was told to try it by a friend), but wow, just a well designed game. Story, voices even the graphics for that time where great.

Outside of plot twists, I mostly buy games that I know will be awesome for me. So I've yet to be truly surprised in a good or bad way.

From the times I've played it, I enjoyed it a lot, mainly because it had much better graphics than Vice City and San Andreas. SA was fun, but I find GTA:IV to be so much better.

The game was freaking boring, oh my god. The missions were literally the same.

The PC version will probably be better because of the MODS, otherwise, the game isn't even worth buying, a rent probably. Hence, why I traded it.

Stalker was a game that surprised me, it was a very under rated game. Once you patched it to get rid of some bugs, and then throw a mod or two on it, it has repeat playability.

I played it about 3 times, for like 20 minutes (so an hour).
I haven`t played a GTA game in years, so I enjoyed the free roaming and criminal acts I could do.
