Come out from under your desk Texas man. It's not that bad... er usually.Flaming_Maniac wrote:
What idiot would voluntarily live where you can set your clock to the apocalyptic tropical storms?
That's not according to much. When Hurricane Charley came in they told people to evacuate south. The storm ended up doing a right hook just before landfall and ended up hitting exactly where the people evacuated to .Mek-Stizzle wrote:

According to the US Meteorological departments projections that is.
If when you say desk you mean the hundreds of miles of dry land between me and any impending tropical storms, I'm good thanks.Kmarion wrote:

Well if you mean the crazy kids on Galveston, sure. Even Houston gets hit sometimes. Dallas? I'll take my chances here.Kmarion wrote:

Hurricane parties= Getting drunk (off of hurricanes of course), going outside and trying to maintain your balance in 90 mph winds. That's fun.Parker wrote:
hey, go fuck yourselves!
its something i look forward too every spring, and i was let down this year.
I can remember a couple that were pretty nasty. I guess not bad enough to rip power lines and trees down though.Parker wrote:

I live outside of a flood area (Insurance wise at least). Stormsurge is all you need to really worry about if you live in a relatively new house and if you are prepared. The worst part of it is not having electricity. One year we didn't have it for almost two weeks . There isn't crap in the grocery stores.. they throw all perishable out.Flaming_Maniac wrote:
