HAHAHA.

This thread is maybe of the all-round greatest spectacles of idiocy I have ever seen on BF2s.

I swear that almost every anti-China and pro-boycott post so far has been nothing short of autistic.

Hell, now even the people that can see the logical shortcomings of boycotting seem to have a kindergarten grasp of world history.
ok fuck stick, Ancient Olympic events. Record holding Olympic events started in the late 1800s, noow STFU.
HAHAHAHAH.

Ancient Olympics started in Ancient Greece, a long time before the Romans got their act together. Around 800BC, for your information. The Romans actually are historically remembered for banning the Olympic games aroundabout the time Christianity was declared the official religion of the Roman Empire. Emperor Theodosius banned the Olympics because he was a fanatical Christian (and the guy that brought it into the mainstream, over all the other pagan religions that the Romans followed beforehand) and saw the Olympics as a symbol of paganism.

It's plain and simple: If enough people stop buying a company's products, they'll start take notice pretty quick.

It happened with McDonalds (a juggernaut) within the last few years.

And anybody whose bothered with lame personal attacks get nothing but a cos you're not even worth a snappy comeback.

Nobody's asking you to give a fuck about it, but why are you so offended that some people do?

It's plain and simple: McDonalds (a juggernaut!!!) are a Western company, with Western investors and stock-holders.

How is a boycott of Western sponsors going to affect the Chinese economy? How will it influence the Olympic games, which takes place over such a short period of time that the sponsor-businesses themselves won't even notice a considerable hit to their revenue and profits? How will this 'boycott' influence the Chinese Communist party at all- let alone on their policy in Tibet? They're an inside-looking party, and as I've said before their interests in the Olympic games pretty much ends at using them as a propaganda-device for their own people. Company profits and TV viewing figures aren't on their political hitlist.

Please, get a clue.

Edit: Oh and address one of my 3 epic-long posts please, you keep conveniently overlooking them even though they reveal great holes in your logic and reasoning.

GG, Rome/ Greece fuck Im wrong. Sorry to have insulted your expanded memory of History. Mines obvioulsy not up to par. naow
Kindly STFU derailer. Your right, Im wrong. You win, I still could care less, but hope you feel vindicated.
EDIT:

Maybe you're confusing the Olympic games with Roman gladiator arenas. The Coliseum and Roman history talks a lot about Gladiator fights and death-arenas...

The Olympic games originated in Ancient Greece, in Athens, about 1000 years before the Romans were stomping around Europe and Africa/Asia Minor kicking peoples asses.
Thanks again for clearing that all up, I can continue with my day and the tread can naow get back on track. PLease forgive me

it seems his posting style is to avoid any credible arguments.

NOW its the sponsors fault....not the athletes anymore.

Dunno, not by a lot I don't think because any slight change in it's value ends up on BBC news and I'm forced to listen to financial experts for 8 minutes. I haven't had to this week.

Also, I've had a thought.

To put this into terms bf2 players might understand.

China is EA. And boycotter's are top 10 hackers. EA took ages to reset them for lack of care, as do China.

I've just re-read the first post of this and I totally take back what I said about China being a shitbag country. Sorry, it's not what I meant. I meant that for most people, I believe it's a shitbag country to live in. But a beautiful country and a great place if you've got the cash.
