i wore SO many sets. in fact, i even went to the doctor and had multiple sets molded to my ears.
the problem was that i swam competitively. it didnt matter what i did, as soon as i hit the water, the force knocked one or both loose....i didnt give a shit, i wanted to win.
looking back, i wouldnt trade the hearing in my right ear for those memories, ever....nor my ribbons and trophies.
its weird though, my left ear has adapted to my right ear not hearing. i can hear airplanes and helicopters a good minute before other people...and there are certain sounds that actually hurt my ear. not necessarily loud, just certain pitches and tones.
edit:
and flying....LET ME TELL YOU. it is SO much fun...
the last time i went to DC, i passed out and woke up to the flight attendant asking me if i was ok....im like, "ya, why?".
then i felt the blood running down my neck....scared the living shit out of me.
pressure change FTL....as far as im concerned.
