we spent about 40-50 years defeating communism.  we don't need to restablish it by voting for candidates who are for redistribution of wealth (ie, communism)

Communism is a form of socialism, we are not a communistic society or government, but socialism has been here in some form since the inception of government (circa whenever :: predating the Romans, Greeks, whoever and whatnot).

If you pay taxes and let someone else spend your money on anything (a standing army, cops, etc - and whatever) you're partaking in socialism.

Obama will take socialism to a whole new level with all the taxes he needs to fund his policies.  Doubling the capital gains tax won't help anyone either.

I was going over some things with my insurance agent a few weeks back and we got to talking about the proposed gov health care plan. He had some plan details: one detail being that I would get to contribute into the system 100% and receive 0%, my tax bracket is too high, therefore I can afford medical insurance (based upon some anti-logical reasoning I simply don't understand) - and if I wanted to be insured I would have to have supplemental insurance. So if you're successful you get to pay twice.

PS: I can't imagine that such a thing in that form would get through congress, yet stranger things have happened.

We suspect this false claim was inspired by the 2007 swearing-in of Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn., an American convert to Islam and the first Muslim elected to Congress. Ellison used a Koran that once belonged to Thomas Jefferson, borrowing the rare book from the Library of Congress.

It goes without saying that Ellison is not Obama. And with its intent to inflame, we find the e-mail's allegation not only false, but wrong.
