Since Sony's E3 Press Conference this year LittleBigPlanet is the game that has been on the lips of many. But what is it?
A hardcore FPS, a life-sim which explores different dimensions and planes of time?
No! Its a world-building platformer where the main character is a sack!!!
What better way to develop an interest in the game for you then by showing you the demo of the conference which was extremely well presented:
Say goodbye to boring generic powerpoint for your college presentations
but presentations is not all LBP is good at. There is plenty more, such as building your own levels and inviting friends to play thorugh them with you.
There are about 60 levels already built by the developers that come with the game.
The game starts from a hub, which is your own private space that you can customize with decorations and stickers. When ivitign friends to play with you they come to your hub.
Sackboy is also customizable, Jack Tretton had Adam Evans give the Sackboy in the demo a Boston jersey, but there are many mpre customization options, including putting your own face in game with the EyePlay camera for the Playstation 3.
More videos can be found at:
Some videos of gameplay and world building to whet your appetites: http://www.youtube.com/user/LittleBigPlanetVids
The one straight above is an example of gameplay which looks very cool and innovative
This article also probably explains LBP better than I can: http://e3.gamespot.com/story.html?sid=6 … ot;title;3
So LittleBigPlanet will be coming out in Autumn 2008 (Fall for you Yanks ) in October hopefully.
It'll be a proper game, not a PSN download and will come on a BluRay full of fun and awesome
