Heres the story:
I work at Intersport (selling sporting goods) and this guy wanted to buy speed skates. We talked for several minutes, I told him all about them, he tried them and said he will buy them. He looked like a really nice guy, he was very grateful I told him so much about speed skates-it was easy for him to decide which ones to buy. We go to the cashier machine, I do everything what I always do-at least thats what I thought-but the second slip-receipt didn't come out and I didn't noticed that. I was driving home when my co-worker calls me and asks if I sold some speed skates. I said yes and whats wrong and he says 90€ is missing. So here I was, sitting in the car knowing I did something wrong, without any contact info on this guy. I knew instantly I'll have to pay for those speed skates. The problem was we talked when I should have looked at the POS terminal system. I didn't payed enough attention to it.
It was a good lesson, I know I need to be even more careful from now on.
