With Treyarch-developed Call of Duty: World at War recently unveiled by the UK's Official Xbox Magazine, you may be asking yourself when footage of the game's darker "new military theater" will be yours for the watching. Now Microsoft has announced that the game's reveal trailer will premiere over Xbox Live this weekend worldwide, giving gamers a first look at "the darkest corners of WWII."

Being built upon a refined version of the same engine that powers Call of Duty 4, World at War is expected to emphasize fear and tackle darker themes than those in earlier titles. Interestingly, today's trailer announcement notes that the video will be available over the Xbox Live Marketplace from June 21-22, suggesting that players on platforms such as the PS3 or PC may be able to poke their heads up from the trenches to watch it soon afterward, though nothing has yet been announced.
Headed to a store near you this fall...

Looks good, although I have never played a Treyarch-developed Call of Duty (at least that I know of)

They done Call of Duty: United Offence, Call of Duty: Big Red One and Call of Duty 3 (and many more, but those are the CoD developed games).

I'll probably buy it, just to complete the PC set.

Not for the enjoyment.

EDIT:  Actually, COD 4 looked better at first glance graphically.

You know I wouldnt mind a traditional WW2 game set in europe again.  I know it's been done to death but I mean they could put some new twists in it, what with the advent of dx10, blowing shit literally up, I think there is life in it yet.

The problem with WW2 games is they notch the graphics up and not much else, I dont think many people are all that anal about historic battles.  Throw in a beat hitler over the head with a star of david etc.

I'm a HUGE CoD player, and in all honesty, I didnt think CoD3 was that bad.

I liked it more than CoD2.  CoD2 was just.... vCoD with fewer features and UGLIER graphics.  I think CoD2 is the first video game sequel I've played which was actually worse than the original.

CoD3 was a spinoff, made for consoles.  Its definitely not as good as the PC games but it was good, for a console game neway.  It was kinda like Battlefield.

Wohoo way to milk WWII even more. I'm sorry but the poor combination of ANOTHER call of duty WWII game and treyarch will result in me not buying this crap.
