Do you think they would really beta test a hotfix? lal

True, but the point is is that if that "leak" on the radio show in Aussie hadnt been made, we would have all been saying "OMG a new patch is on the way" and this announcement would have been like the "holy grail" for some BF2'ers.
The fact of the matter, is that a few of us (well, you ) were skeptical about it even being genuine, we've even had people doing detective work to prove that the interviewe was actually somebody from DICE by looking at the game credits!! So at least this confirms it for all of us who still play the game (even if most of this forum doesnt anymore ).

Of course they were never going to tell us what they are fixing / plan to fix, as that would only lead to disappointment for if they cant fix something. Not only that, but how do we know that theyve even started work on it? They might have made the decision at the end of last week to give us a new patch, and today the team to do the patch was put together.

Once again, the hype of it all is letting people down with one person jumping to a conclusion, and then the snowball effect takes place...
