maybe, It really depends on the community's reaction. If KARKANDIO24/7HIGHPOINTS!!!11!! remains the extent of the server list, then no, but if it makes the old maps (and any new ones) come back into the rotation, I may have to come out of BFretirement.

but still you need 1.5 if its released, because all mods WILL upgrade to the latest version.

Good is a very ambiguous term, what can 1.5 possibly bring that is good.

There is a change that i stop playing bf2 if they ruin it with new patch
Almost every patch so far has made BF2 worse than what it began as. I know it has been a while since the last update, but I don't hold much more hope for 1.5 than I did for any other. I'd love to be surprised though.
1.4 and 1.41 were successful.as long as they do a beta it will turn out okay.

BF2 is my main game. its a classic.
Cod4 would be my main if there was vehicles.
Up to this day, i haven't seen any game as good as Battlefield2 in my opinion.
