Who here remembers dynamic weapon pricing? Thats how much this is going to fail. But on a higher level... something close to CS promod.
That was good times, i recently went back to play 1.6 for abit and i kept forgetting to buy ammo and reload my gun after every round lol! The guns were SOOOO much CHEAPER!

dynamic weapon pricing was the biggest failure in Valve history.

But I hope this is added as some sort of server option, and not a patch you have to have, though I doubt that

Except for the deagle... LOL. That got up to 14k. People would save for a deagle, not an awp lol. And then they'd die without a single kill.

I remember that people would prefer to spent $6000 on the M4/AK when the SG552/AUG were not only more accurate, but also cost half the price. CS has got to be the most repetitive online FPS ever for that to happen.

I don't remember any problems with dynamic weapon pricing, because all the server I played on had it turned off.

This happens with everything....no one likes change. Just deal with it. It will probably revitalize the game. The update didn't mess up DoD, it probably wont mess up CSS either...

Meh. Somewhat related, I tried to reinstall Azureus the other day as I used it for a long time before I reformatted and got uTorrent for whatever reason. I install it, and it's this youtubey download of the day Vuze shit.

Everything is being added to everything, the mainstream mass of blobbed biomass doesn't care for any functionality but what is cool for 5 minutes. The modern phone generation is a good example.

Keep CS:S how it was, it doesn't need to be fixed because it isn't broken.

If we all kept that attitude we would all be using Model T's and have computers running Windows 1.0

I hope they don't turn it into TF2. Achievements may be acceptable but nemesis and domination, avatars and whatever else can fuck right off.

Looking forward to dual core support in CSS though...
Avatars and the Steam Overlay is gonna be in CSS wether you like it or not. People in the Dod:s sections seems to make a huge fuzz about this to and I really don't understand.

You can still change your name at any given time. It's just located in another area now but still easy to find.
Avatars can be disabled if you really can't stand having to watch them.

Not sure about Nemesis and Domination but Dods got them so CSS probably gonna get them to.

What I want thou is the walk through team mates things. God I would love to have that as then I don't need to be stopped by some random noob who chicken out of a rush.

Btw people it's Source2007 Engine not 2008.

I seems to be only one who actually liked DWP due to the change it gave me. People actually used other guns than M4 and AK *gasp* It REALLY changed the gameplay when people didn't go AK vs M4 anymore. One reason why I love GunGame so much these days.
Btw quite a lot of people actually played DWP because otherwise the sale numbers wouldn't go up to several millions every week like 2 months after it's been out.
It might have been a failure in your eyes but it got a certain thing fixed once and for all. Pistol damage. Well they still somewhat need to buff Glock as it majorly sucks and second is UMP.

CSS have had some changes but people really don't care in the end.

New Radar. People claimed this would totally kill CSS but it only made more people join the CSS community.
New prices on guns from CS 1.6
Crouch POV got changed and majorly changed the gameplay at some places but people liked it. But now some people whined that it didn't feel like you crouched so much anymore. Oh the irony.
Quick Silencer and Quick Scope was taken out due to that they where like bugs. People claimed they would leave and it would be the death of CSS but did it kill CSS? Nooo it just got more people playing it.

CSS is getting rather stale and if they don't add like a new game mode(don't give me the crap it will ruin the game when it's an OPTION) or at least new guns I'm most likely gonna wait for CS2. Which should come in like a few years.
I played CSS for several years btw.

Well they gave Dods beta quite a bit updates and the Source2007 engine might have already fixed that part. But if there is a beta coming up I'm betting people will post that bug. Not that I know what kind of bug it is.

But if it's not in like TF2 it's not gonna be in CSS when it moves to Source2007.
