K, so I bought a new 19" widescreen monitor. I did the stuff from this thread:

And my command line looks like this: "E:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +widescreen 1 +szx 1440 +szy 900

I trashed the video.con file in my profile and when I try to run it, its an instant ctd.

EDIT: my monitor CAN support bf2s refresh rate.

change the ratio to 1280x1024 first, then adjust after that /shrugs

It may be that your gfx card can't handle it and is overheating.

K, I got bf2 to run at its highest resolution that you can set ingame. How can I make it 1440x900?
I already messed with the video.cons and the icon to set the resolution.

Try removing the "widescreen +1" command.  I got BF2 running @ 1900 X 1200 by just adding the resolution I wanted, and works great.

Keep in mind, bigger resolutions results in higher stress on the video card...my card can't run 1900 X 1200 on high, so I have to play on 800 X 600 high or 1900 X 1200 low.

set it back to the stock settings and just play in non-native resolution
