I was just about to post that my CPU does run a little hot. 68* on 100% load (3dmark).
ya, too hot. my video card is at 50 atm..Sup wrote:
Umm thats hotter. No seriously put another fan on top of the GPU cooler and see how it goes.Jenspm wrote:

"people in ny have a general idea of how to drive. one of the pedals goes forward the other one prevents you from dying"
Video cards can handle a bit of heat, because they produce it. Only if it is constantly over 70 I'd be worried.
Yep, and that's a 7900GTkylef wrote:

If it has the small ridiculous looking vertical fan with copper heatsink, you might want to do as I did: Revove it, clean it, and reapply paste. Dropped my temps by about 8C on the 7900GT. If however you are even a tiny bit unsure about getting it off, do not do it. Breaking hardware is never fun.

did the same on my x1900XT. Worked great (-6° load, -7° idle) and got rid of those damn BSODs (power regulators were overheating)DeathUnlimited wrote:

once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
Not too hot. Graphics cards can, as others have stated, handle more heat than CPUs. My 3870 runs at a constant 90+ under load.7 series can't take as much, but under 90 is ok.haffeysucks wrote:

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
