It is a decent quality Blu-ray player if nothing else.
I have seen cheap shit ass ones that are cheaper, BUT they get bad reviews.
And I think the PS3 is a gd Blu-ray player, cheaper than many others out there. (never used it as one so I can not say lol)

Well, the main reason I got one is this: It's the cheapest Blu-Ray player that I know of on the market. I've got 3 Blu-Rays: Casino Royale, Full Metal Jacket remastered and No Country for Old Men, and all 3 have INCREDIBLE quality. I also have an HDTV, though...so having a 720p/1080i/1080p TV is pretty much necessary to fully enjoy Blu-Rays.
Another thing is, while PSN < XBL, it's nice not to have to worry about an online fee every year or buying that ridiculously priced Wi-Fi adapter.
Not having to buy a charge kit or change the batteries every 3 weeks is nice too..
And plus, you'll be able to play all of the console exclusives now. Except the Wii. But the Wii's games are like fisher price toys.

If kptk if you have an xbox 360 and you can afford a PS3 aswell, get one. You certainly have nothing to lose by buying it, its a worthy purchases and you dont have to worry about which one to buy.
