There it is. The first trailer of RA:3

Personally, I don't think it looks like anything new. Looks like C&C3 with new models and effects. Still waiting for starcraft 2, although this may be worth getting just to see what they've done to the RA series and if they made it any better.

That's going with tradition. RA1 --> based on CNC. RA2 --> Based on TS.

Love the EA Symbol in front of the hammer and sickle.

I'd get it, but I've never played a C&C or Red Alert game before and have no idea what happens previously.

Graphics looks awesome though.

You don't really need to play any of the other ones. There's not much to really need to know other than it's just some alternate timeline in which soviet russia invades the USA.

The first RA had Nod and Kane, I would have loved to see how that panned out.

And yeah, RA3 could be an RA2 clone and I'd probs still buy it. RA2 rocked.

I always was a die-hard fan of Red Alert but this looks too fucking cartoony. I mean, what's colorfull and cheerfull about a bunch of Tesla tanks frying soldiers. They could'v instead draw a big awsm smiley on the Kirov's instead of the shark mouth because it doesn't look so scary as it did in RA2. Where the hell did Tanya go, where did Carville go? They raped the graphics, they broke the tradition.

Looks good.

I like how its nice and bright. Too many games these days are just dark and moody. I want something set in a colourful fresh feedling environment as a change! Which is probably why this and mirrors edge appeal to me so much

In YR he got resurrected by time-travel. The commander goes back in time to fight Yuri and it was before Carville got blown up so he really didn't get blown up even though he did.

Do you guys not realize that RA has ALWAYS had cartoony graphics? It's just now more obvious because of the 3D and the brighter colors, but you can't tell me in any way that RA was gritty and down to earth.

They're called the Scikle and they are a sort of anti-infantry/recon unit. They can jump up cliffs and shit to get the drop on enemies. Very cool amirite? Anyway the units all look unique and interesting, as opposed to the boring, generic units that most RTS games have which is good. I also like the cartoon-esque graphics, glad to see another game that doesn't take itself seriously, I just hope the player won't take it seriously either.

I do however want to see some mutha-fukin' Japanese units! They have only release concept art of two of their units and nothing else!
