- if u r over 19 and still play video games u need to get a life
whats the record for the longest going thread
hey i think any age is ok its when it starts to take over your social life is when you need to take a break p.s im 12
I think the longest is 49 pages and that's the one where everyone is requesting a name or something like that.
My dad is 53. He just finished Far Cry on the most difficult skill setting. I'm going back to Oz shortly and I'll buy him a copy of BF2 so he can pwn YOUR N00b ass sgt. Gene!
BTW, Dude I earn 6 figures have a gorgeous wife and live in an apartment which has 3 swimming pools on the grounds. Do yourself a favor kid: read more books and get a degree in something other than arts. The only thing you've managed 6 of is zit popping or the record number of times you've whacked off to porn on the net in a day. If getting so heated up about older gamers lights your candle so much then I believe the world has pwned you already.

I think its the other way around. Too many little whiney kids on the servers these days.
6 figures and living in an apartment? You should own a friggin' house.

but c'mon hard man who has his agreement not to get stuff u paid for taken away? dude thats just stupid, wow u can be a bad boy and not get banned,
just sound like a spoilt rich kid buying all ur own stuff and ps3 as soon as it comes out.
does having the protection of hidden ID give u confidence to be someone ur not, big brave words against the older folk?

AND I like to play video games!

Hear Hear, I deal with some really stupid people and how they can't use their Internet. I do techsupport and let me tell you something. After coming home it helps to take the frusration out on someone else instead of my kids or wife.pitviper wrote:

I'm 25. I'm out of college and have a good job. I play computer games to relax after work. BF2 is a good one because I can chat with some friends (ages 20-40) and just play.
Is it me or do marketing agencies promote products for people ages 21-35? Seems like they'd lose a big portion of their business if everyone over 19 didn't play games.

First off, you can't be serious right? You're just trolling.Sgt.Gene wrote:
seriously people who are over 19 and play excessivley are just losers who have no life. for real think about you are 20 years old and sitting in your parents basement playing bf2 with your favorite white dockers shirt and a pocket protector on and a dream of being #1 in bf2. i would like to make this statment VIDEO GAMES ARE FOR KIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!! and dont hand me that esrb rating bullshit companies make games violent to specifically target the youth. there could be better things u could be doing like going to parties maybe meeting girls if u losers arent to fucking too shy to even look. my opinion but i lugh at people over 19 playing video games because it is in fact true they have no lives if you are an adult u can basically do what ever u want but u choose to play video games and make fun of people that are younger than u and talk about how u have an uber l337 gaming machin and that u can pwn any little noob that comes around. for real get a life its time to pull your heads out of your asses take a nice breath of air and go kill your self.
However, if you are serious then you have some issues and need to get a perspective on things. I don't think anyone would consider someone over the age of 19 who watches movies, reads books, or goes to sporting events to have no life. These are all forms of entertainment. Video games are just another form of entertainment that like movies, books, sporting events, etc are available to audiences of all ages with varying interests.
To claim that 19+ adults who play video games don't have a life shows ignorance and lack of comparative evaluation on your part. I might tend to agree that adults outside of high school who play video games more than 2-4 hours a day should probably diversify what they do with their time. Life is about balance, but to say that video games are strictly for kids is asinine. Are movies only for kids? What about games such as billiards, poker, or any sport for that matter?
I play video games somewhat frequently while maintaining a full-time job as a professional technical artist/animator and I still have time to go hiking, rafting, snowboarding, and work on personal projects of mine. If I do have personal time to spend around the house I'd much rather play video games than watch TV. TV is passive and dulls your brain half the time, except for the occasional History or Discovery Channel special. Wired just recently had an article demonstrating that individuals who play video games are actually more intelligent than those who don't. Intelligence doesn't necessarily equate to knowledge, but it does mean that on average video game players are better problem solvers than the common person. Just some food for thought.
