So im on the mission where you first meet catalina, I took the tanker and got it safely to the place...

Right as hes says, "Okay, ill pretend I never saw the tanker and youll pretend I never gave you this wad of cash" He punches her, and she shoots him with the shotgun

And there I am, frozen, things are moving, but I cant do anything, the only way to get to the menu is via ALT+ TAB and coming back in

And then I cant move

This is the only thing I can do right now to advance and its pissing me off

halp?

Is this the legal copy or pirated one?

This is the LEGAL copy, that I bought at Wal-Mart

I looked at the patches, all I found was 1.01, and that was the Hot Coffee Mod fix

(I dont use the hot coffee mod btw)

Oh and btw, during the cutscenes, where your watching something happen from 3rd person (not really a cutscene i guess) people go nuts and beat the shit out of eachother / kill eachother??

Im still stuck on this, i did all the other missions and the Ceasar race and I got this one left..

you have the berserking people cheat on, u must have turned it one somehow I advise you type it in again and hope it goes away...

Correct

Also If you bought it recently, the CD is version 2.0, so there are no more patches for it

The people, when walking around dont beat the hell out of eachother...

On the Re-Install, will I loose my progress? How do I back my progress up?

And yeah, bought the DVD a few weeks ago

It asks if you want to keep your saves. But its your save that has the cheat saved to it. So you're gonna have to start the game again.

If I recall correctly, its stuck on once you save the game. Not to ruin the story, but once this cheat has been activated and saved to the file, one mission later on is impossible to complete due to this. So starting a new game would likly be the best bet, it sucks, but don't have many options.

I have both SA for PC and PS2, 100% on the PS2 copy without cheats Had to reset my game because of the cheat once before.

This is unrelated, but turn frame limiter on if you have problems in cutscenes. If you dont, the game can be running too fast and the cutscenes which play out in real time get fucked.

i.e. cars will be driving before people get in etc, cause rather than the 20/30 FPS (ie PS2 FPS) you are getting 100/200 FPS. Doesnt always happen, but is very frustrating if you dont know why.

Also, look at some mods. It is very easy to double/quadruple your view distance, and it looks quite good.
