I have a MSI motherboard and it's great, no problems at all. I know several people with MSI motherboards and video cards also with no problems.

Withdrawn.
Yes, they have some batches that will hold up, but I've seen many, many more MSI parts fail than _ANY_ other brand. Even ASRock is better. My first S775 mobo, an old ASRock still works to this day, while my MSI S775 mobo that's been used a lot less recently died on me. Not to mention their K7T series...
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Now you'd be really cool if you used a G92 chip.

The closest I'll come is my RV670... Which I'm not turning into a key ring until it's dead ten times over

A part fell off. Shitty MSI assembly.
Yours must have been assembled by a gimp malaysian because my msi 7900gs still runs like new after months of use.

As I stated earlier, some of their things will last, mainly the rebranded reference boards.
