Does anyone else wish that they could play BF2 on some of the BF 1942 maps? I loved Omaha Beach, Berlin, Stalingrad...etc. I liked many of the city maps at least. I also wish they would have a CTF option too. Capture the flag IMO was really fun to play...even more so sometimes than the conquest version of the map. It would be nice if EA came out with a patch that would allow ranked servers to host these maps or type of games and us still get poinsts for playing on them. Other than that, I'm ready for some new maps. Is anyone else with me?

I remember hearing some people talking about seeing some of the official EA guys doing tests on the new version update playing a map called WAKE_ISLAND_2005 or something like that. Would be interesting, although I really don't recall many of the original maps, been a long time since I played bf1942.
I totally want more boats.. Driving the destroyers/battleships around in bf1942 was great fun.

I know of a communty made map of Wake Island for BF2. You can get it off of totalbf2.com if I'm not mistaken.

Hm....i don't like BFV, but there have been a few maps, i would like to see in BF2.
I especially liked those 'Road To Rome' maps from the '42 expansion - of course the most maps from '42, too.
My favourites were those maps from DC. I'm looking forward to the new DC mod!
And i also hope EA will implement new maps in the future.....but who knows.....

Look it up on EA BF2 website.
Along with the new level there will be more fixes like :
-no more TK's with artillery
-destroying commander artillery and radar will be rewared
and so much friggin more!
