Well, i was just looking at the RAF website, and i was looking at the fitness thing, and my heart stopped when i saw i would pass, untill, i noticed OCD. I have that, i think, is there anyway to be sure i don't have it? I would check but, my internet is being stroppy, and it took me 7 minutes to load up the internet, and i don't want my parents to know i may have OCD, and i want to join the RAF.
What makes you think you have OCD?
Do find yourself repeatedly doing stuff? If not, you probably don't have it.
OCD: misused so many times that habits and norms can get confused with an obsessive disorder that makes you do pointless activities that seem vital to you.

Long story, i saw that thing on GMTV when that woman spent like 23 hours a week double checking things, and i realised i sometimes don't sleep not checking things at night, and i saw that it was OCD, so i looked on the internet, and saw that OCD includes obsessive double checking, and when i pack my bag for school i empty it and do it again, several times, i check if i left the tap running, if i locked a cat in a room, and the worst is checking at night if my alrm on a clock is on or off, sounds simple, but its so distressing. I cjecked to see if not sleeping helps it, but it only makes it worse.liquidat0r wrote:

OCD is a psychological problem that can be worked on. If you did have it it's not the end of the world.
I often show obsessive compulsive behaviour, but it aint severe enough to bother me.

Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.
The tap thing in particular is a common symptom of OCD, one of my mates who was diagnosed with OCD did the same, along with being unable to sleep at night for fear of the door being unlocked even after checking it several times. If it really bothers you, go see a doctor.SEREVENT wrote:

As I said, it can be 'cured'. It's not the end of the world.

I know quite a lot of people that have it mildly. I myself usually check my door is locked once more before I go to bed, even though I know I've locked it.
Everyone has OCD. It's just a matter of how much.
Same with me - also with taps as once or twice I have actually left them on - ever since I always just check Save the water bill, eh.ghettoperson wrote:

I think I do somehow. I am incredibly left oriented. If there is a significant object on my right it drives me fucking insane. Things have to be in a "just right" position, and I hate moving things around (like furniture or things that have been in the same spot for a long period of time).
I'm like that to...Dragonclaw wrote:

I concur. My OCD is that I have to have my money facing the same way. I'm not sure why but it drives me nuts if they aren't. I have to eat with clean utensils...just crazy to me to eat with something that is dirty...Yea, I'm weird like that.Bertster7 wrote:

I have OCD, which has affected my eating for the past 15 years
when i used to wear glasses, i was obssesed about how straight they were on my face. I would look at the frame like every 10 minutes and then try to straighten it. That's probably the most severe ocd symptom i've had. When I was a kid i think i was pretty ocd (eating only super clean dishes etc) but it went away with age
Yeah, the interwebs said that it mostly affects younger people...argo4 wrote:

Just sounds like good hygiene, tbh!killer21 wrote:

Everyone has traces of OCD. Deal with it.
I think so too. I am compulsive about checking if my car is locked, or my door if I leave the building. Sometimes I go all the way back inside and up four floors to make sure my door is locked. I tend to run back to wherever I parked my car to doublecheck if it is locked and if I turned the lights off. That sort of thing.Bertster7 wrote:

u guyz r nutz.
Nature is a powerful force. Those who seek to subdue nature, never do so permanently.
Whatever the total opposite of OCD is, I have that.
How can i deal with it if its stopping me doing the only thing i've ever wanted to do?Tetrino wrote:

Do you do something you want to do in life?
most of that stuff u stop doing when u get older...how old are u 13-14? as long as you know what your doing and try breaking your routine one small piece at a time you should manage
