I think the funniest part is that they seem to have missed that also in the game drunk driving is a choice...and a crime. You can and are encouraged to call a taxi in game when your too drunk to drive,.Sup wrote:

Specifically, the group takes issue with "a game module where players have to drive drunk" as "drunk driving is a choice, a violent crime...not a game."
Though Shacknews is certainly understanding of MADD's concerns, the staff has yet to experience a mission where drunk driving is mandatory. In fact, the game recommends that players make use of a taxi once drunk.
Due to this content, MADD is calling on the Electronic Software Ratings Board to re-rate the game as an Adults Only title, as well as asking developer Rockstar to "consider a stop in distribution."
Grand Theft Auto IV is not the first title in the series to feature drunk driving. In 2002's GTA: Vice City (PC, PS2, Xbox), a mission from Phil Cassidy called "Boomshine Saigon" required players to drive to the hospital while drunk, causing blurred vision and loose driving controls.

Wow...what crawled up your ass and died? I asked a simple question. If you're gonna be an ass for no good reason in this thread, I'll just report your posts. We made it through this thread without any flaming (besides minor console warring) so don't be a dick.Oldirti wrote:

Am I screwed?
I was completely kidding. Like none of that was serious. sorry.
Yes. The only option you have is to kill yourself.Archer wrote:

And as for getting drunk: Take a friend (Roman, Little Jacob, etc) to the Comrades bar in Hove Beach. You'll instantly be drunk.

Someone gave me an invite yesterday, but It wouldn't connect.
Also, I was busy doing that mission where you had to assault the construction site in 'Gonquin, and the damn invite almost got me killed
Fucking Algonquin is just awesome. The whole city is. I know what they mean by the city is the real star of the show, I mean wow. It's just so detailed, so realistic. Every road has something. I think what makes it realistic is that quite a few roads have some sort of roadworks going on, and traffic, and all the roads have patches everywhere from previous roadworks etc... Makes me feel almost at home.
Also, I don't know of HDTV resolutions have this. But I have something called "Flicker Filter" on "Display" in the options, and it makes the game look so much better.

The one where ou have to get Elizabeta's coke took me about 6 attempts! The cops kept gettn about 10 cars on my tail, in the end I cooked a grenade, dropped it n caused them a load of havoc to let me get away

Lol same song for me^*AlphA*^ wrote:

Yeah, the coke mission was pretty hard. I just took as many shortcuts to get rid of the cop cars (driving in a straight line will never lose them), but you can lose the chopper by driving fast. Which is kinda unrealistic but I guess in a dense city it's hard to follow a car in the air. Then just quickly hide in an alley way once you're out of their area.
I kept failing that Packie McReary mission where you have to steal the meds from the docks. It's hard timing the grenades right so you kill the Triads and don't get your own van blown up!
Then I thought "I'll do it later" - So I tried that mission where you have to save Roman, I was doing good until Niko took cover on the wrong side of the pillar and I got shot up. I was tired so I just turned it off n I'll try again today
