Just played more, and noticed a few more things:
Realism is superb, I crashed my car into a tree, it didn't blow but the impact screwed the engine, so I couldn't start the car.
Turning cars is way too hard at the moment IMO (at speed). Using a normal brake to turn doesn't seem to turn the car, using the handbrake turns the car too much.
Still freezing, but only for half a second now.
Overall I'm really impressed

justice, I agree on the car handling, that definately needs a fix!
Cars (scratch that, all vehicles are) the worst thing in GTA IV, they're slow and clumsy to drive.

Pfft, you guys just can't handle it. As a long player of games like GT5 and Driv3r etc.. I feel right at home.

Yeah I guess the handing is more realistic, it's gonna take a long time for me to get used to, I can't turn for SHIT....always over-shoot it.
Also, it's gonna take a long time for me to learn my way around....I knew san andreas like the back of my hand, wanna feel the same with this game.

Reading around the forums, it seems people could connect this morning/last night....but the ps3 multiplayer server is down and rockstar are fixing it right now. so the 360 guys should still be able to play multiplayer.

Kinda ridiculous actually, PC always gets things second, and our PCs cost 3x more than a 360 or 2x more for a PS3

Tut tut tut. PS3 folk can't even play online eh? Shame that.. The 360 version even comes with a month free Gold Live, so everyone can enjoy the seamless bug free purely awesome 360 multiplayer. Which is working just now. Unlike the PS3 stuff.cant connect to mp either
