The X360 outputs a digital signal, but as it uses component, it has to convert the signal to analog and then back to digital once it reaches the TV. This causes a minimal loss of information. That loss of information is normally made up with the TVs video processor using interpolation. NOTHING AN EYE CAN NOTICE. Capiche?

The HDMI, just sends the output as digital, so there is no source loss... but saying that, most cables "leak" so no output is perfect.

And lets get anothing thing straight, most games DO NOT natively support 1080p, so there will be NO difference between the 1080i and p; hell I could even go as far as saying that the difference between 720i and 1080i will be minimal.

Some people here are starting to sound like PS3 fanboys.

Any Pos, as you rightly said; you notice the difference. Sadly, I only say this with scientific facts, not with experience - I don't own any HDTV. I have 2 normal TVs and a decent monitor. So maybe it does look sex on 1080p; I will never know.

The actually difference between 1080p and 720p is only noticeable on very large screens. This what I have heard.
However the difference from SD and 720p is very noticeable even on my 19inch screen.

Free Roam is a given, but i'm talking competitive wise.

BTW - I'm gonna buy a used edition of the 360 GTA IV in like 2 months, so I can host those multiplayer matches too.
