I was rdy cos i have the cheaper v2 and it idles on 30 degrees C on the same card. Wait you know that i mean the G. card right? You mentioned cpu.Naturn wrote:
You ready for this? Idle temp is 26-28C idle never goes about 40 under load. I discovered today that Vista pushed the CPU harder than I thought when under load from another program..Sup wrote:
Naturn whats the idle temp on your cooler? Its a Thermalright right?
MSI put the cooler on there but it is an aftermarket cooler. [ Retail Version ] I think it never goes about 50C under load though. That was using XP though..Sup wrote:

Yea they are really good cheap coolers. But a pain to put on. lol BTW it was 50C under load not 60C for my 8800GT..Sup wrote:
I had Freezer pro for my 3500+ and was idling on 28-29. Really good cooler and low pricing.
All cpu cooler are pain in the ass to install. Gpu coolers are easier to install, except for my old 9600 card cooler the "sandwich"Naturn wrote:

The Freezer 7 Pro is just to snap on. Like the stock cooler. Graphics card coolers are in fact often a lot harder to install..Sup wrote:

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
You don't need any strength to install a GPU cooler but you need some to install a CPU cooler, at least in your fingers. I actually had problems with my first mobo on which i used this cooler. There were so many components around the socket that it was really hard to put fingers between the cooler and other components.Freezer7Pro wrote:

Yea mine was a pain in the ass too. I had to use a flat head screw driver to get it to hook on the clips.

AMD 3200+ XP @ 2,2 GHrtz ( yes, that's single core )
1 GB RAM ( Mushkin dual channel kit )
ATI X800 XT PE, 256mb RAM
80 GB Hard drive IDE
Win2000
I am saving up for a new PC, but honestly, it runs like a charm, and plays CS Source and BF2, so I am fine atm. Have had it for a couple of years now. 26.11.2004, actually. Yes, I remember that.
Also, I have 4 system fans installed, that keep the heat down. CPU idle is at 39°C, and GPU idle is at 42°C
to be honest, unless my HD fails me at some point, I would not need a better PC, unless a game comes out that would require me to upgrade.

Freezer, what fan are you using the 5/12v pin wire screw thingy on?
Holy mother of cooling, that thing is even bigger than I imagined , thats'a no-go on my motherboard, everything is surrounded by heatpipes.
Added the first 120mm fan of the other 5 to come
