Why I love CoD4.

I started up Crysis. I played for a bit. I got pissed off at the low graphics and the fact I could still only get ~20fps. The online play is boring.

I started up BF2. Well, no I didn't, as it wouldn't start up.
Tried PoE2, same thing.

I fished my BF2142 disc out, and started that up. Got onto a server after a long load and then killed a couple of people, and then CTD.

I started up CoD4, which loaded quickly, I selected a server, the map loaded quickly, I was injected into the fight, which is quick and frantic, got lots of kills, made me smile. The graphics arn't that demanding for older systems, I can get extra high textures with Specular map and 4x AA at 1280x1024 res and ~50 Fps. On a 2.4Ghz single core.

Sure, you can't beat BF2 for gameplay and teamwork, but all the little bugs and glitches and hackers don't make up for it.
Crysis's graphics are simply stunning, if your computer can produce them that is.
BF2142 .. wait why did I even buy that?

CoD4, one of the best games I've ever played.

well COD4 will never be as expansive as Bf2, but to me playing COD4 brought back the fun factor that i lost when i was a BF2 horse.

CoD4 is awesome, especially because of the fast combat. Sometimes I feel like playing longer rounds and relaxing a little, so I'll go to BF2, but then other times I want fast-paced, non-stop action, so I go to CoD.

Y'know, last night in a round some tard said CoD4 needed medics. I lmao'ed at him and told him we didn't need another BF2 and that medics reviving everyone would break up the action. But he just whined some more... probably because he was getting killed so often.

And the graphics are kickass too. High textures without shadows and fancy lightning and still anywhere between 30 and 140 frames. (lolgrass)

PEOPLE ACTUALLY DIE WHEN YOU THEM! Omahgawd, thats a thing that rarely happens in BF2

Anyway if you want the ultimate in fast paced gaming, try UT2004, play online with instagib death match. Srsly, it's quick.

It's nothing too special. I mean I <3 the load times, but, I still an incredible time with Special forces, 2142, the Wookie mod, and POE2. You just cant beat it. not to mention I always have a lot of fun with CSS.

Why don't you get a new computer for the CTD's and/or try a map other than Karkand. I mean Jesus, that map sucks. Maybe Dalian Plant??

You're right, the game has a quick and smooth interface. That's because it has absolutely no substance.

You're right, maps load quickly. That's because they're tiny and can't support more then 12 people while retaining it's intended purpose.

I enjoy how much more tactical COD4 can be than BF2. After just recently putting in like 20 hours, and getting accustomed to 3-4 shots for a kill, and needing to aim down the sight, playing BF2 seemed weird. (Got COD4 for PS3 about 2 weeks ago) That and I don't have to deal with the overall bugginess and inconsistencies associated with even loading the goddamn game.

Also, these are the same reasons why I prefer TF2 overall to BF2. Quick load times, optimized much better, FUN, doesn't crash half the time, etc.

I agree, loading times are great for COD4, and a great game all-in-all. BF2 was amazing though. No matter what you found to bitch about, you could always find something else that made the game great.
