But seriously, I actually think building special rooms for prayers is appeasement and I disagree with that wholeheartedly. They should be allowed the right to religious freedom and all that jazz but it's up to them to fit it around the regular schedules and routines of the college; the onus is not on the college, I mean go down that route and where does it end... auditing rooms and e-meters for Scientologists? No thanks.
As Cam points out though this kind of 'small potatoes' bullshit is going on with other religions too, it's just that Islam is the cause célèbre of the media after 9/11. To be honest I'd be more worried about public schools forcing a religious agenda than colleges providing facilities for members of a religion.
