I don't. France is notorious for sticking to historical wine-make methods and ignoring some pretty nifty advances in the wine-making field. Their wine isn't bad but their outdated ways of making it is leading to places like Australia and New Zealand making quite a few superior wines.
I read that somewhere too. Have you said it before on here?
I heard that from Ty a billion times, I think he makes wine there by now.
Nah I think he's a sales rep. He now specialises in internet advertising.

an exception comes to my mind. the reichstag (berlin 1945) was defended grimly, among others, by members of the french waffen-ss division charlemagne...

Nonsense. Idiots.

" On the 30th of April, at 1 a.m., the 3rd company — 62 soldiers and 3 officers — was en route. At 7 a.m., after a 15-mile march, they stopped at Palo Verde to rest. Soon after, a Mexican Army force of 2,000 soldiers (800 cavalry & 1,200 infantry) was sighted. Captain Danjou ordered the company take up a square formation, and, though retreating, he rebuffed several cavalry charges, inflicting the first heavy losses on the Mexican army.

Seeking a more defensible position, Danjou made a stand at the nearby Hacienda Camarón, an inn protected by a 3-metre-high-wall. His plan was to occupy Mexican forces to prevent attacks against the nearby convoy. While his legionnaires prepared to defend the inn, the Mexican commander, Colonel Milan, demanded that Danjou and soldiers surrender, noting the Mexican Army's numeric superiority. Danjou replied: "We have munitions. We will not surrender." He then swore to fight to the death, an oath which was seconded by the men.

At noon, Captain Danjou was shot in the chest and died; his soldiers continued fighting despite overwhelming odds under the command of an inspired Lt. Vilain, who held for four hours before falling during an assault. With ammunition exhausted, the last of Danjou's soldiers, numbering only five under the command of Lt. Maudet, desperately mounted a bayonet charge. Two men died outright, while the rest continued the assault. The tiny group was surrounded and literally beaten to the earth. Colonel Milan, commander of the Mexicans, managed to prevent his men from ripping the surviving legionnaires to pieces. When the last two survivors were asked to surrender, they insisted that Mexican soldiers allow them safe passage home, to keep their flag, and to escort the body of Captain Danjou. To that, the Mexican commander commented, "What can I do with such men? No, these are not men, they are devils," and, out of respect, agreed to these terms.

You seem to omit the fact that that was the French FOREIGN Legion. Hence, not fully French. More a collection of British, German, and various other nationalities.

The foreign legion is comprised of French citizens.
Hence, it is French.
As for the winemaking, well, Ty, you're allowed your opinion. I mean, if you don't have the taste which only the most refined and distinguished possess, I can't really expect you to appreciate it. That's why they have industrial winemakers. (don't take it badly)

Secondly, we must all consider that France, due to its geographic location, can't be expected to defend itself every time it is invaded. England is an island, US is on the other side of the pond; look at all the European continent--each nation has been invaded more than once.

And finally, for those who say that French rap is NOT the best--that's just because you can't understand it. Sorry.

don't feel like looking it up, but all their grapes were wiped out a while ago and they had grapes imported from america to save the wine economy

Embrace it. It´s hard to learn, but you never get such an easy shot at learning it like in school. It´s worth it. The french suck, yeah. And they seem to be the most ignorant people ever (if you´re not french, your shit ). But, If you try to speak their languages, they actually start to, well not like you, but accept you. And its good to speak a foreign languages.
I had french in school for five years, but I can´t speak a damn word now. sucks.

still, se french are gay.

i partly agree. french rap is great, but british (grime!!) and american rap is at least as good as french rap. no arguing about cheese, wine and fashion! best women? well, there's definitely some beautiful french women, but you can find pretty girls all over the world (except in great britain). paris? followed closely by rome, london, new york and berlin the best city in the world!

When your nation's old battle flag becomes the international symbol for surrender...you've got issues. Regardless of which came first.
