A Black Hole is a tear in the continuum-space which is caused by exploding stars, are found in the center of the galaxy, formed by two neutron stars colliding.

The black hole has infinite gravity pull when you cross the Event Horizon, which is the border in the escape or no question. For example if you put a light bulb in the front of the EH, you will see it. But it behind, and the light will never reach its destination.

A Black Hole is formed of an accretion disk, which is like the waiting line for massive objects like stars, the Event Horizon, which is the No-Return point. There is the Singularity witch is the point where your mass is compressed to the infinite and you are erased from the universe.

From Einstein s'studies, he said the if you could be hovering over a black hole you could go back in time (no idea about this tho)

There also other types of holes:

White Hole, is the opposite of the black hole, it ejects matter: some believe they are wormhole exits

Schwarzschild wormholes are thought to be two black holes touching themselves at the singularity providing a gate to the other side, problem is the those holes are unstable and they detach often, but even if you make it in the middle, you will be suck there because both holes are suck/suck and not suck/reject like normal wormholes.

Wormholes are believed to de a black hole and a white hole attached together that form a passage on the other side (is the continuum is curved)
but either way, the passage would be deadly because of the compression that occurs at the middle, you would reach the other side, but at and infinitively small size.

If a black hole would be to strike our region, we would be dead before it reached Jupiter. the gravity fluctuations would cause massive earthquakes like 20 on Richter. by the way it reaches sun, the earth would be sucked into an inflamed black hole that will aggress the sun slowly until its get sucked completely.

To add: Black holes are detected via infrared. there are invisible to the human eye, unless there is a giant star behind it.

So your saying I don't know shit about holes? well looks like you just got stallown3d, and I know more about them that you do.

Btw who proves you Hawking Radiation truly exists? its a theory that was never approved.
You showed me.

How long did you spend reading wiki to "know more than me"?  If you honestly knew what you were talking about and were capable of appreciating it, you would not hope for a "Delta-Force team sent to destroy the facilitiy[sic]".
Wiki is bs, i learned this while talking hours with my physics teacher, we were talking about this and that..cool guy

But i have to admit i didn't knew much about the LHC, so i retract my comment.

So this huge tube-thing is going to fire a particle into something and then some stuff happens. Great, now leave the scientists who actually do know what is really going on to do the work, because "some stuff happens" is pretty much everything most of you know about it. These doomsday reports are quotes from people who don't seem to have all that much to do with the Large Hadron Collider at all and are not scientifically confirmed by anything or anyone. Until I see some strong evidence to suggest that the chances of imploding earth are higher than my chance of dieing from any other random factor in the next few years I, and you, will not care.

if we can't look at another big bang in nature, let's blast one into existance damnit!

Man didn't advance without taking risks. the people at CERN are the geniuses among genius, people who know shit we couldn't even begin to comprehend. When they say the chance is small, it's small.

Too bad Einstein isn't here right now, he would've loved watching or working with this. The absolute best physicist to have ever walked on this earth.

I'm worried about this black hole though, the only thing which can destroy it is anti matter. though that's pretty fucking dangerous shit.

meh.  first of all, who the fuck knows what conditions were like during the big bang, or if there even was such a thing?  just another science experiment if you ask me, and all the idiots who think it will make a black hole are the same idiots who are easily rickrolled.

big bang is pretty much something accepted if you ask me, I can write alot about why I think so but that'll take too much time right now. The actual possibility of a blackhole being created is slim, very slim. but it's there. we don't know yet wether it will or not. Problem is wether Hawking was right and if it will fall apart in a few miliseconds - if it doesn't, better make some anti matter - alot of it and quick.

What they want to make is a big bang on micro scale. and look whatever the hell came out of it. It's important for understanding the universe, and get to know what particle is smaller than an atom. We could make a huge time-jump with this if we get to know how to use these miniscule particles.

im not saying they shouldn't proceed with the experiment, but i really doubt anything horrible will happen to the universe.  what a good way to trump up publicity for their little science project, though, right?

well this science project isn't exactly little anymore. It's the biggest project to try and discover something in line with physics, natural sciences and maths.

in CERN the geniuses among genius reside, they're the einsteins of our age. Smartest people you will ever see, if you will ever meet one of their scientists. The stuff these people do is incredible, what they manage to come up with and discover is going far beyond almost anyone.

Now the thing they're going to do with their hadron collider is something you won't see happening anytime soon, and could make a discovery totally revolutionary to our age. Trying to figure out what happened after the big bang / looking for particles smaller than atoms is a big, big deal.

The splitting of the atom was pretty revolutionary.  This may reveal free energy, or summin really good to save us from the energy crisis.  But if it blows the shit out of all of us, well, I just hope it's quick.  It would suck to survive hours, or days as the earth shook, or continents collapsed in on a growing hole where the LHC once was.  THAT would suck.

I was told that when the biblical end comes, it will be by fire.   Could said fire be some experiment that went whoopsy?  Not that I entirely believe in a biblical end, but i still wonder..

Well when hawking was wrong and some micro black hole does suddenly come into existance, we're thoroughly fucked - unless anti matter works. That's our last hope.

get two atoms, make them collide at near-light speed. As in 99.999999999% lightspeed.

when they crash into eachother, we may get to see what particle is smaller than an atom, and we may recreate some kind of big bang on micro scale, so we get to see what exactly happened right after the big bang.

basically.
