not many people play modded servers, i'd rather they added the extra slots into the main game as many peope seem to be complaining about it.
5 kits aren't enough for some people...
Adding extra slots would allow you to adapt... to any situation...
if you dont like it you dont have to use them.
I'd type my pc specs out all fancy again but teh mods would remove it. Again.

And stop moaning, IW is NOT gonna give you extra CS's.
Why the fuck are you arguing against something that will make the game better? Is it just because you feel you have to prove people wrong, or because you have nothing else to do?Bernadictus wrote:

ITS A TRAP
I can see the problem but i can get over it tbh.
But firstly just because the M40 is in a standard kit, doesn't mean i'm not going to make a kit for it myself. Who wants fucking 3 special grenades as a sniper and no iron lungs? So thats why you dont use the standard kits, the perks are mainly useless to the kits as they are the standard perks.
I personally try to use all the weapons to get all red tiger weapons etc, so therefore i have mainly kits with weapons i havent completed yet, therefore i would like some extra kits so i could have backup kits with my favourite weapons etc, but i just have to live with it and keep the worse guns which is fine by me. Sure it'd be better if there were more slots but you could always say that. Hell RSV2 only has 4.
My kits are (i think)
G36E(silencer):3 frag, stopping power, steady aim
Scorpion(silencer):3 frag, stopping power steady aim
Mini-Uzi(silencer):bandolier, stopping power, extreme conditioning
G3(ACOG):3 frag, stopping power, extreme conditioning
M40A1(no attanchment):claymores,stopping power, iron lungs

No. This is just a stupid way of looking at things. There is absolutley 0 reason that this should be the case.Vilham wrote:

This is a first person shooter. I should be able to change my weapons ingame. What you're suggesting is that I should plan my kits just so I have one for every type of situation. Alright, I suppose that's understandable. What you're saying is that I need to do this: Have a 1 kit for sniping, 1 for close quarters situations, 1 for medium ranged combat, 1 for long ranged combat, and 1 for whatever else comes up. Alright, sure, if you do that then you'll be able to take every situation.
But why shouldn't I have more than that? Why shouldn't I also be able to have a kit for sneaking around, a kit for using explosives exclusively, a jihad kit, kits that include all of the weapons, a kit with C4, a kit with a GL, a kit with claymores, a kit with an RPG, etc. ? Your argument is so worthless, you're saying "LIMIT THE AMOUNT OF CONTENT YOU HAVE AVAILIBLE AT ANY GIVEN TIME"
Why? Are you just trying to argue just for the sake of annoying people?
Imagine we were playing BF2. Imagine BF2 only let you chose 3 out of the 7 kits to play at any given map and the only way that you could change them is wait for the entire round to wait. You have absolutley no knowledge of what map is going to play next. (Assume it's a full rotation server) You'd be the guy screaming "Well you should have planned what 3 kits to take to the map! It's all your fault. You should have thought it through. You should only have 3/7ths of the fighting power availible to you at any time"
I honestly have no idea why you're arguing. What happens if IW adds 5 or 10 more slots. Is it going to kill you? Are you going to say "Oh darn you IW, giving those noobs access to every weapon they've unlocked. Hell, they should only use a couple of them at a time"?
The fact that in CoD4 you have no clue what map is coming up makes the whole thing even more frustrating. You are given 30 seconds to prepare yourself for..what? A close quarters map? A long range map? You have no idea.

I am absolutely amazed that people cant work out 5 different kits that fit any situation. It really is so fucking easy:
General kit - Your best gun and perks that you love.
Defence sub kit - submachine gun with clays etc, defensive perks.
Attack sub kit - submachine gun with extra nades/flash or what ever and attacking perks.
Defence long ranged kit - long ranged gun ie sniper/rifle/light machine gun and defensive perks.
Attack long ranged kit - long ranged gune sniper/rifle/light machine gun and attacking perks.
Then you also have the other 5 preset layouts that suit any other situation.
Seriously fcking easy.

I only really need two kits, my M16, and my P90. That pretty much covers everything close or long range if I just want kills, or to show someone up. the problem is I like to work on the achievements, and would like to be able to have one weapon from each class ready to work on when I get bored and want to go to another. My main kits always stay though, so if I start getting raped I can get myself back to a respectable K/D with a weapon I like, but that means I have to choose which weapons I want to work on. It's not like I play everyday, so these kits tend to change a lot because while I was working on my SMGs last week, this week I'm in an LMG/sniper kind of mood, but forgot to change my kits. In combination with the shitty server browser, it's really a pain to have to leave a server, choose kits, then join usually 3-5 servers before I find one I like.
Saying it makes you choose, or forces tactical decisions is a joke. It's not about decisions; it's about being a pain in the ass. You can change them as much as you want with no penalty, it has zero bearing on how well you do in the game, it only effects how much of the time you spend looking at a menu and how much you spend actually shooting at people.
Now if they took a more BF2 style approach and forced you to pick kits out of a set, and then stick with them, that would be one thing. Making permanent decisions that effect what guns you can play with until you next rank, or something to that effect would be one thing. I think that would be a pretty cool idea even. However, when the only penalty is me spending 2-5 minutes not playing in my free time, they're just being pricks by limiting the number of custom kits.
