The notion that the rioters ( all over the ME ) were everyday people living their everyday lives, and the fact that no extremist groups claimed "responsibility" for the rioting, suggests they were not extremists in general. Just a shit load of Muslims pissed off over cartoons.Scorpion0x17 wrote:

I.e. it's your opinion that they're not extremists.
Could it be that you have no idea whether they're extremists or not and you're simply labelling them as non-extremist in order to justify your belief that Islam is at it's heart violent and evil?
Yeah riots all over the ME, death threats from all over the world, yeah it was probably just a few extremists who got pissed....denial anyone?Masques wrote:

Then why don't you post some links of extremist groups claiming responsibility for all the riots and violence, cuz I can post links that do not. What other conclusion have you come up with?Scorpion0x17 wrote:

Uhhhhh yeah I think.... If you know the riots were from extremist groups show me. I can show you articles that show the violence in the streets were committed by people who otherwise were never considered extremist.Scorpion0x17 wrote:

You can post a link that does not show extremists claiming responsibility???
FFS, do you think at all?
As for what conclusions have I come up with - simple, the only conclusion that anyone not directly involved in it can draw - that we do not know exactly why the riots happened or for what justification - we were not there.

1 billion Muslims worldwide. If only 0.1% were even inclined to engage in extremist behavior not necessarily violence even, merely intimidation, that would still be 1 million people. You only need a few thousand (or even a few hundred for a decent riot) and it takes a handful of people to send communications.lowing wrote:

We do know why the riots happened the MUSLIM community TOLD US WHY the riots occurred. Sorry if that is inconvenient for your defense of them.
Then make a real defense of their behavior other than we don't know that they weren't extremist............
Gee, it has been 15 minutes since the last time I was called a racist or bigot in leu of making an argument. It must be arecord.Masques wrote:

So yes, we are talking about only a few. Since there are so many Muslims "a few" is a comparatively robust number, though far less than 1% in any case.
I recognize that you're a bigot and thus what I'm about to say is pointless to someone like you, but here we go...
Think this through logically. If most Muslims engaged in extremist behavior this country would explode there's no way logically any of it could be contained. And it also assumes all actions would be directed against the same targets.
EDIT: And that's all I have to say in this thread. I'm not going to argue with a bigot.

But also, so the whole of the global Muslim community said "yep, we're all extremists" with one voice?
Of don't get me wrong I am amused that people on here resort to simply calling me a racist or a bigot as their last ditch effort to win an argument, instead trying to prove their arguments.Scorpion0x17 wrote:

No I am basing my opinion on the obvious, sorry that hurts your argument in defending their behavior. Every other extremist activity has been claimed by extremists. All of the Muslim world erupts in protest and or riots and violence and you have no idea whodid it...........Your argument borderlines the rediculous.Scorpion0x17 wrote:

You are basing your statements on bias.
Not on truth.

If there was a GUARANTEE that it would only be peaceful Islam being taught in the Mosque and it was right near you, would you mind it?
