Fuck. has anybody had one?

the tooth directly next to my left front one is dead. it formed with an "invagination" which is basically a disfigurement that leaves the nerve almost exposed. the RC specialist said that almost all teeth that form like this eventually need to be removed or RCed, and i'm not about to have a tooth pulled.

whats it like? how long does it take? how much does it hurt (my tooth is already dead)? what does it look like before its capped? do they slice it down to a sliver like when they cap other teeth?

thanks, karma to helpful replies.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

No no no no i just had one done right after thanks giving. It's a long process but i guarantee you it doesn't hurt. There was this one moment of pain when i could feel them drilling in but that's about it. She numbed it right up so i didn't feel anything. It's not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Weird thing is they put 1" needles right down the canal of the tooth. Pretty weird

idk. when i get fillings and whatnot they hit me up with about 4 shots to the gums and hard pallette (that bites like a bitch). this guy is a specialist so i've never had any work done by him before. we'll see i guess.

I'm getting 2 wisdom teeth out next Thursday. I'm still debating whether to stick with freezing or have a specialist remove them while I'm knocked out.

Edit: good luck btw

Why don't you want the tooth pulled? Because it might hurt? I've at least 2 teeth pulled, with shots, didn't hurt at all. Just slapped some gauze on it and the numbness on my whole mouth wore off in maybe 1 hour.

umm...because its fucking in the front, and a root canal is more likely to be successful. i've had a tooth pulled before, so i know what its like.

I like the part when the big chimney stack falls over and you almost crash into it.

I like the whole water-vehicle ride the most. Best part of the game. Totally.

Getting a tooth pulled isn't all that bad. They inject your gums with some novacain (which doesn't hurt for some reason, the injection I mean) and then the whole side of your face goes numb. You feel the dentist gripping your face and soon enough, your tooth is out.

Granted it bleeds like hell, but it's so fun making faces since only half of your face works.

Root Canals SUCK!  I need another (broke my tooth on a beer mug ) and I have been putting it off because of the pain.  When I had mine, the injected painkillers kept wearing off and the dentist would inject more straight into the exposed nerve.  It fucking sucked.  Get a lot of pain pills - it's the only thing that allowed me to sleep - and I hate taking pills, especially painkillers.
