Is photoshop worth it. Elements, CS3, or You can get CS2 for like $280.
CS3 is not much better than CS2 other than a slightly improved GUI and some 3D filter effects or something that I've never used.
Photoshop was made by Adobe?

It's the latest in photo editing technology.viper313 wrote:

It has like the main 18 colours you use every day ready for you to click on and paint with.ebug9 wrote:

Depends.
If you plan on making shit like this:
http://bearmoon.deviantart.com/art/The- … d-80107987
...No.
If you plan on making stuff like this:
http://lingy-0.deviantart.com/art/terrorist-78471914
Definitely.
..Basically, only buy it if you actually plan on using it seriously. Otherwise you might as well download some lame free program.

That's not all! If you call us today, you'll receive a free copy of Windows Vista. (Don't forget to run mspaint as an administrator or it might not run properly).TheAussieReaper wrote:

Photoshop Elements...what number did Adobe come out with recently? I think Elements 6. Much more basic than CS3.viper313 wrote:

I've only used Elements in IT class for some really basic things, so I can't really tell you..viper313 wrote:

Photography-wise: I think most photographers use Photoshop for simple touch-ups, and blending options, which Elements should have.
Sig-wise: If you plan on doing real basic signatures like this one:
http://hprulz11.deviantart.com/art/Loya … e-80040490
..Elements should do the job.
For my sigs, I use CS3.
One of mine:

I believe Aviary is probably the way to go if you want good products that are (for now at least) free, unless I'm mistaken. Or Krita (not sure if it's only linux). Actually, anything but GIMP, which IMO is a big ol' pile of crap.Deadmonkiefart wrote:

Yes. We are forced to use GIMP in computer class in school... My god, it hurts my mind!konfusion wrote:

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Buy CS3 Premium Design. STUDENT Edition. You pay 180 instead of 1800 euro's.
Only downside: you have to send in a registration form, including proof of education, and it has to be somewhat related to the use of CS3.
