Really odd.. a lot of people are getting way better performance with low end system. You must have really sucky RAM and that CPU is bottlenecking like hell too. Might do a custom very low but no point atm as I have improved all configs and now I'm struggling with the installer for the ToD files.. It will be able to handle my high/very high configs. I have a friend who has an overclocked 8800GT 512 G92, and he can run the new XConfig 1.3 (yes it's in beta, but not released yet) with 1650x1080 resolution and get 25-30 fps average. Must say, good results I think.colonelioan wrote:

Yeah I knew that, just had question about the 2 different folders in the config folder, I figured it out though. Im running the High config, looks great. Runs great, at least until assault. I was heading towards the first AA gun by the bridge, still about 200m off, and when ever I look in that direction I get extreme amounts of lag, FPS drops from like 30 to like 2.xGj wrote:

Thanks, it's currently running at 750/1100. My 3DMark06 score was 6321, but I might try again because of a fresh install of Windows. I would go Medium too though, it's a pretty sad rig.xGj wrote:
I'd say medium with that card, and try it at native resolution. If it doesn't work well scale down the resolution. If it all does work well you can try high but I think high is too much for an 8600GTS.

Fixed HDR too and if you might encounter black water (which I never had but I think its fixed here) edit the line q_ShaderWater = 1, to q_ShaderWater = 2 (system heavier though). But I doubt you get any glitches I actually didn't have any at all with this release.
