We have MILLIONS of people who have serious health issues...

We have MILLIONS of people who are obese...

We have MILLIONS of people who are uneducated...

We have MILLIONS of people unemployed...

And finally, we have MILLIONS of illegal immigrants flooding in who don't even speak English...

So, how are we suppose to progress as a nation like this?

yeah that's not the responsibility of the country. if someone is obese that's their problem, and they have to fix it.

Do you also have an "aging population" in the sense that the baby boom was about 50-60 years ago (around the end of WW2) and are about to have massive retirements due to old age effect the country?

There's about to be a bigger strain on the economy as they leave the work force and then require the younger generations to support them, through health care, etc.

It's a problem facing Australia at the moment, and is only going to get worse imo.

There's going to be a massive die off during this century when we run out of oil/shrinking farmland and the loss of good top soil starts to set in. We can't support the billions of people on this planet as it is, once we run out of the stuff that has let us cheat the system a bunch of people are going to die.

I do agree with your second comment, if someone is obese they are the only ones who can muster up the ambition to lose the weight, or someone can motivate them. But, I believe the problem for obesity ALSO lies in the food corporations hands.

THEY are the ones making poisonous foods, and drinks that have addictive agents in them for the obese to consume, without any warning of the health risks of consuming that food.

2)Not our problem, and cutting transfat out of the schools will not make people less fat. People dont exercise and they sit around and eat unhealthy foods. If they are not going to change why should we make them.

WRONG have lots and lots of babies so when the apocalypse comes we can survive by eating them. I'm jk =P

I doubt alot of us will 'die off' I more believe that at this rate the intelligence of people will just keep decreasing and then when everyone intelligent dies we will be in some real deep shit.

I think you misunderstood me, I said that illegal immigrants contribute to joblessness meaning they are worsening the situation. Having illegals in here takes away jobs from citizens.

But, who counts as an unemployed person? Just, ANYBODY of a certain age? Or, do they count only those who are able-bodied? For example, do they count obese people who can't even walk? Or, crippled veterans who get no aid from the government?

To Lynx14: Oh right, I see the point you were making sorry. Ya you're right, they do take away jobs from those Americans who are unemployed.

Although, you gotta wonder, why can't those unemployed people just swallow their pride and take those jobs? Wouldn't that help in decreasing illegal immigration?
