Just as the topic says is it possible?  Cause i'm tired of have to switched between games when I can just mount the image to one of multiple drives.  But, I just don't know how to get it to work.  Ether with Daemon tools or Alcohol 120%.

I just made an image with my Special forces disc and i never need to load up either my Vanilla or Specials disc.  You just need to know the copy protection type, easily found through a few programs(google it) and then you make the image suing that.  Quite handy, especially when you happen to scratch up a disk.  The link previously mentioned also works.

Thanks but the .nfo says there is still a risk of being banned.

Search gamecopyworld for the bf2 mini-iso. The fixed exe can give pb problems.

-After you've got the mini-iso (which is actually an .mds file - same thing) open up Daemon Tools.
-Right click on Daemon Tools in your system tray and go to Virtual CD - Select # of Devices, make sure its 1 (or more if you have other iso's you want to mount).
-Go to device #0 and find your mini-iso.
-Done.

No risk at all, ive been running my BF2 off an image for the past 2 years without an issue, nothing to worry about.

The image/iso won't give you any problems. It's the no-dvd fixed exe that will. Punkbuster scans and thinks "oh no, modified file...BAN."

I've been using the mini-image to play for a good four months now, after noticing that my BF2-disc started to take damage in the DVD-drive.

Just to summarise what everyone else has said, fixed .exe = no no, mini image / .iso = 100% fine. I've used an iso for years with no troubles at all.

What about 2142?  I see the BF2 one but I also play 2142.

Use Alcohol 120% to create an image file or search the internet for one.

Here's one I made: http://s4g-clan.com/files/bf2_mini_image.rar

Just put the files in the same location and mount the .MDS with Daemon tools, then start your game normally with the shortcut. Simple as that.

I've been using that for probably over a year now and never even been warned, much less kicked/banned. It's completely safe.

Now, if you download hacked .exe files, like CD cracks, then you will be kicked by Punkbuster. But this is completely different.
