ok so i finally perfected my denim handle material....this shit is so much fun, and the possibilities for it are pretty much endless for knives. ive tested the crap out of it, beat it with a hammer while it was in a vice, dropped it in water over night, thrown it at everything.......i even have a piece of it on the way to a friends house in clearwater florida, and hes gonna drop it in the ocean overnight to see if anything happens.

so heres some pics....this piece is a little messed up looking, but this is the test piece i have been using.

i could tell you how i made it.....but then, someone else would know.....all i can say is that it is actual strips of denim with an epoxy that makes it tough as hell.

met, that knife is on hold for a little bit....i have to finish TEN fixed blades by mid september, plus customer orders. goodbye free time, but hey, it keeps me busy.

and ya, Gawwad i was thinking the same thing....its my desktop right now, and it just looks nice.
the pictures are in 16:9, so that might have something to do with it.

ill post some more pics so you can see the grind lines and handle material.
440C stainless, cali buckeye burl for the handle, and a leather sheath. sold this weekend at the show for a cool $90.....i wanted more, but thats life.

i also have some great damascus pictures from the knives i brought to the show.....dont worry ill post them in a bit.
