A couple of medic tips that I have learned over the decades playing, that I need to share:
1. At the top of the medics priorities should be keeping their squad leader alive. If possible, stay close to him.
2. Medics need to become very familiar with the buttons so they don't hand a target a med pack instead of a bullet.
3. Medics shall not run into the middle of a stream of bullets to heal someone, unless you want to decrease your tickets. Fire first then rescue. This is a basic rule of real first aid too.
A. Assess, "Is it safe?"
B. If yes, administer aid
C. If no, stay clear or make it safe!!!
With that, there is nothing more frustrating than being revived & then instantly killed by the same guy who just killed you initially.
4. A medic should only pull out the paddles/med pac if they are going to use it immediately to (revive, help heal, or heal themselves). Otherwise their gun should always be deployed.
5. Don't revive people in the middle of an arty strike!
6. Use med bags sparingly, but do use them...especially in a firefight, especially to help your SL.
7. IMO, the MEC AK is the best basic medic weapon. I prefer it to the other weapons.
8. If you aren't in a heated fire fight, feel free to heal that are crying out for help. Don't step over their heads.
9. If used correctly, the medic is one of the most important players on the field. They help your squad to hold their position & ultimately give you a great scoring advantage.
I know this is brief, but why take up more words than you need to.
