Hey, still doesnt work=/MysteryJake wrote:
Then try the afore mentioned.
Thats a bit hot ammirite? My XTX runs at 20 degrees celcius on idleAyumiz wrote:

that was great, karma for you!Phatmatt wrote:
Nah it's a BF2 feature.
Your older card couldn't support this new improved shaders
Download SpeedFan and check if the GPU fan is at full load. They are often set on low RPM, so that they keep silent.Ayumiz wrote:

RivaTuner also works for fan speeds.DeathUnlimited wrote:

If so, put the fan on 100% when you go gaming.
No, as far as i know, cards like such are designed to have the fans running at 100% for long periods of time.Ayumiz wrote:
Does setting fan speed screw up your pc somehow?
Well 56C is not too hot for a GPU, but it's a concern if that's the temp at idle. To work out if the problem is heat related you need to know what the temp is when you get it warmed up in game and the artefacts start to appear.Pea....Tear.....Griffen wrote:

I am not too tech-y but aren't you all making too big a deal?cospengle wrote:

if you have dynamic lighting and shadows and they aren't equal then you get thosexxCaptainBlackxx wrote:
yes,its caused by dynamic lighting.Nothing else. Turn it off and see for yourself
Was thinking the same thing, my 7600 idles at 54C, well within its temp rnge for idle, and the 8 series do run hotter, so 56C idle is not a cocern I would think. Not like my card got any fancy cooling either, stock everything. Blowing the temp issue outta proportionVicktorVauhn wrote:

The 8800 runs pretty damn hot. When I put my PC together I didn't have enough fan, and my 8800GTS was running like 79, even into the 80s at some points.
That worried the hell out of me, so I spend quite a few hours reading everything I could find on proper load temps for the card.
Never actually found a solid #, but many pages (including Nvidia) had said that 80c was fine under load. I don't like that, but I must admit for the short time I used it at those temps it worked fine (I was more worried about longevity though). General consensus was the 8 series runs hot, and was designed to be able to do so.
I think my load temps now are low end of the mid 70s.
Gee i see. My shadows is High but my lighting is on medium.Blehm98 wrote:

like putting dynamic lighting on low and turn shadows off or something like that
you get those weird black flashes
just turn off dynamic lighting and shadows and it fixes it, along with making the visuals better
