Help!!! [PS3 Disc Problems]

I don't know if some/most of the users on BF2S have or don't have a PS3 and I just got one and now I'm having sum problems with it.

For some reason my CD can't be read by the console even by the blu-ray, CoD4 its the only game for it at the moment that I own and the PS3 doesn't want to read it and I tested on my cuz ps3 and it work. please anyone that knows about PS3 help me !!!!!

I think he means "I tested (the disc) it on my Cousin's PS3 and it worked."

Doesn't the PS3 have online capabilites? Can you update the Firmware for the system? Try cleaning the lens per the instructions on how to do so.

I heard quite a few people with this problem. You can't solve it, I am afraid. Never experienced it myself. But the only thing you can do, is call Sony.

look you have realised that the disc works fine on your cousins ps3, so the only conclusion you could make is that your ps3 is fucked.

I do not understand why post here? GO to the retailer where you go it from and get another one instead!!!!

Try putting the PS3 vertically and doing it like that (don't forget to swivel the small PS logo like with the PS2 )

I remember with the PS2 sometimes it would have Disc Read Errors when Horizontal (or was it when it was Vertical, I dunno, just try both stances)

by doing this....you will only delay the fact that it needs to get fixed....and if you delay it long enough you may have to wait for sony to fix it rather than getting a straight swap at the shop you got it from!

Have you got a replacement one yet?

Negative.

This happened to me. You have to phone them up, and give them the code on the back of the PS3. They will send you a new one within a couple of days, but only a bare PS3, no box or leads or anything, keep the original ones. Excellent customer service really.

Hope you can get it fixed.
