Why can you not use the medic or engineer class- can't you click on them, are they not there.....?
I haven't played BF2 in a very long time; but i've got a feeling your health bar disappears when sprinting (holding shift / double tapping w)

A screen shot and some more details would be helpful in solving your problem.

yeah, I have played before, and i installed it on my comp, which is a temp because my old one is being fixed.
Which could be the problem, because it has a crap graphic card.

Post a screenshot shot so we know what it looks like. Anyway, this is an odd problem, is BF2 retail version? Are you sure it's installed properly?
Update drivers aswell, its causes weird stuff with out of date ones
