This may not come as a surprise to many people, but all of you who are complaining about bugs and overpowered AA and the like are mostly the same people who complained about things before 1.2. Well guess what? You complained and DICE listened. All you people that are complaining, THIS IS WHAT YOU WANTED. I am so sick of seeing people complain. YOU ASKED FOR IT AND YOU GOT IT.

Before the patch:

"FIX THE FUCKING AA!!!"

After the patch:

"FIX THE FUCKING AA!!!"

Before the patch:

"FIX THE DAMN BUNNYHOPPING!!!"

After the patch:

"WTF NOW I CAN'T THROW MEDIC PACKS AND AMMO PACKS FAR BECAUSE I CAN'T JUMP THROW!!! FIX IT!"

Make up your fucking minds!


You people have two options as far as I am concerned:

1. Enjoy the game as it is.
2. Quit playing, you won't be missed.

P.S. If I see any posts in this thread about EA being money-grubbing assholes or something similar I'm going to delete your post. So sick and tired of seeing that shit.

quote a post of someone complaining and then a post of them complaining post-1.2, you won't find many that actually line up. Mostly because EA's interpretation of our feelings was completely wrong/misguided, I don't agree with many of the new changes.

I'm with Trigger on this one, enjoy the game. It is, after all, *only* a game.

I'm looking forward to being able to play maps with airplanes without being strafed/bombed for the 137th time in a row. It shouldn't be about realism or being able to use certain tactics, it should be the game should be fun for the widest spectrum of players. Not whoever has cultivated some really irritating tactic the game designers probably didn't intend to be in there. Sure, it may take some skill, but if it is no fun to play against, remind me why we're playing the game again?

And I have to say that I dont think the complainers will line up perfectly pre- and post-patch. I also think that the only feature change that sucks now is that you cant blow up AT mines. I think EA listened and gave the community what it wanted, more or less.

Trigger I agree to a point. There is only a few things that bother me 1). getting sniped with the support weapons from +150 meters, and 2) all the crying going on. I wasnt a good pilot to begin with but I will use this oppertunity to hopefully get better or give it up. The best thing about this patch is NO MORE C4 CHUCKING WHORES>>>>>>>

this patch made this game more realistic
sure some bugs weren't sorted (eg. red glitch)
but the features (less heli hp, AA better etc.) make this a GOOD patch

well about the AA.... yeah i guess endless complaining about it being too weak, then all of the sudden being too strong would piss you off, it does for me, i learned to play the game as it was and not to complain...

but there is such a thing as the grey area. that means, instead of AA being useless, and instead of AA being uber strong, Dice could have toned it down a little, so it avoids bothe xtremes.

instead of black and white, you have grey
instead of 1 and 0, you have .5

but oh well i think we should appreciate Dice for at least trying to correct our problems and listening to them

I agree.  With the AA, I was knocking people down left and right 2 days ago but they adapted, changed tactics, flew better and suddenly it wasn't so easy.  The patch will make everyone a better player.

I like the patch. Got on a few servers last night and had a good time, not that I didn't before. As for the AA, I still got my share of deaths from some skilled pilots who are already changing thier tactics to avoid the new targeting systems but at least I can get a couple of shots off from the ground that can at least give them a little irratation. As far as the less talented flyboys that are bitching about how hard it is to rape us ground forces without getting a stinger up the tailpipe.. too bad, learn to fly better or die trying. I just wish I got more practice piloting in before the patch cause now I am afraid I'll never cure my fear of heights.

and yeah AA IS NOT THAT BAD i manged in a wake 24/7 not to be shotdown well once but you AVOID IT these n00b pilots need to learn some skillz and use a keyboard and mouse instead of that joystick crap, BF2 is not a flight sim and with new AA it wont be
