HELP on the 1.41 patch

Have a bit of problems with the patch. A while back I uninstall BF2 and tried to reinstall it but no luck wasn't working right. So I went out and bought a new BF2 game and installed it. Now its working, but while trying to install the 1.41 patch a warning pops up saying "unable to find BF2 install folder" What does that mean? The game is working and can play the single play but not the multieplay, because the server list is blank.

OK will try but were do I find the right folder to put it in? will it say default folder?

download the patch again.

i've had it a few times where the file somehow got corrupted during the download. try dling another copy from a different mirror and repatching.

Did you put the BF2 installed destination folder into the default place? I dont know, really.
Id say try dling again.

BTW one more topic in this section then there will be 1337 amounts!

that worked for me.... I had the patch on my pc for the longest time. All I did was re download it and it worked for me.

Re-patch. My BF2 failed to start one day for no reason. Re-ran the patch, must have fixed the broken files and it was fine after that.

OK I installed the 1.3 then I had to put the 1.4 in and it work. NOW my problem is the I can't get into game. I start to DL the server get up to 62% and then The game shuts off right back to the desk top.

Now should I uninstall the reinstall it?
I'm really getting pissed off about this game. And the only thing I did was get a new Vid card and upgrade my ram to 2 gigs........................

-> Reapply the 1.41 patch
-> Delete your Battlefield 2 Folder in "My Documents"

If that doesnt work, then you don't have many options, except to manually reinstall the game (check http://support.ea.com)

If all this doesn't work, I would uninstall the game, then delete any leftover folders in my documents and the ea games folder on your C drive, then reinstall the game, and re-patch.

OK now I'm given up on the hole BF2 thing, going over to COD and maybe back to DODS.

I tried every thing to get the dam game to work. and still nothing. start to load and then I go right back to the desk top. So I uni stalled the game completely I mean every thing is out. Again thanks for all your help with me on trying to get this dam thing to work.

I used to crash to desktop at 63%

I changed the graphics driver and it stopped.

Was that a full patch or incremental ?

You might have to do a manual uninstall

I did do the full patch and the manual uinstall. Think it just might be me. I'm going to reformat my computer and have a buddy install it for me. Heading out to the Flyers game tonight and Dropping off the tower to me buddy. hope he can help...
