Which is a shame because i'd been looking foward to it.
Rubbish clunky controls and interface didn't help things, and neither did stupidly overpowered drones (ie the Mortar tank which basically has a 4 round instant kill grenade launcher (with a lot of ammo), is really small and hard to hit, and takes several entire magazines to kill).

Less overpowered aircraft. They are pretty much unstopabble just now, except from other aircraft. Something needs to be done about them.
Less stupid bugs.
No retarded gameplay mechanics. The I used to enjoy the 'go prone then shoot' action, but since its the only way to win firefights (except the even worse bunnyhoping), it's a bit stupid. A 2142-like prone delay would be good. Also, when someone goes prone, their hitbox goes from the standing up hitbox to the lying down hitbox the instant they press the key. Which means that while you're shooting the diving playermodel, you're not hitting anything at all.
Fix infantry combat. By that i mean get rid of grenade and claymore spamming, and revives that offer no penalty whatsoever to the person being revived. Giving every class 4 grenades that can be insta-resupplied was a bad bad decision. I avoid IO simply because it is nothing but nade spamming. Making claymores invincible doesnt help.
There are so many things wrong with Battlefield 2. The core infantry and vehicle combat is very well done. However, the way the game is made, you don't have to bother. You can just get by using cheap methods to get cheap kills. It has to be fixed. 2142 had better inf combat, so hopefully they've learned from their mistakes.

i would rly like to play on some maps that are inside a building, no open air or anything.
For example, for the people who have played special forces - on warlord, in the tv station is a pretty damn good way for kills. and even better in the palace. get what i mean?
