For those of you who may be having difficulty coming up with something to do for/with their loved one on Valentine's Day check this link out;

Some of the ideas there are good while others are cheesy or just not worth the effort, time and expense but all in all I think it wos an interesting read.

Anyhow, does anybody here have any other ideas worth mentioning that could benefit other forum users? Such ideas may even appeal to those who are single. Who knows? Maybe one day you'll come across someone you really like...and that'll be the time when you want to impress/woo/romance her.

This post is for serious forum users who can make a worthwhile contribution for the benefit of all - hence it's location in the D&ST section.

Uhm, that's no necessarily true. You can always get through Valentine's Day without having to buy flowers or chocolates. There's more to love than just chocs and flowers you know! And by this I don't mean sex <-- just in case someone tries to suggest that as an alternative.

From my experience, girls love getting flowers. But it's all about surprise and thought - they don't want you to be boring, and they like when you plan something out - it shows you are thinking about them. That being said, I have no idea what I am going to do for the lady friend. I looked at that site, and the suggestions were pretty shitty for a Valentine's Day date. Definitely not getting her a $25K song either.

Something I have noticed in my own life regarding girls - If and when I have a girlfriend, girls are awesome. If and when I don't have a girlfriend, girls suck. It is just like life; there are ups and downs. Sometimes it just takes longer to snap out of it.
