So yeah, I got a new DVD Drive, been working good, but now it is acting...different but the same. Ive had it about 4 days, been using it everyday, working great, quite. Now today, I buy Crysis, go to put it in drive, and it doesnt read disk. It acts like it is gonna spin up then stops. Kinda sounds like mmmmVT. The whole process takes about half a second, then starts over. Sounds like it wants to start, but is getting blocked or something. Whats wrong now, am I just having bad luck with DVD Drives, or is this something worse.

Hmm. Just called EB Games, apparently, refund or a gift card with that amount is not allowed, I can only exchange it for another DVD. If this is a defective shipment, I get the feeling I am gonna be making many trips back and forth.

I got the exact problem with my crysis disk, theres no proper solution other than getting a decent DVD drive. I switched some of my power supplies and IDE's about and it works now for some strange reason. I still get that on the odd occasion though.

So what your saying is that this Crysis disk, is somehow different, even though it is same size and format, then a normal CD or DVD which both work on the drive? Also, I read through the reviews for this drive(for the second time), and every one of them rates this as pretty much 100% amazing, now the other drive, which I just replaced, was rated as about 75% shit.

Alright Ill try that tomorrow. If it somehow does work, exactly what would be the cause of it? I mean, discs of the same size, of the same type, the same everything work fine...

Ok what the fuck? Crysis works in old DVD Drive but not the new one? Whats the difference? Old one is some piece of shit that came as part of my Sony Vaio 5 and a half years ago, still works great, the new one is this:

Yeah pisses me off. Im gonna take the drive out of old computer and stick it in this one, we never use it anyways.
