Like normal, you wouldnt want to be hit by a 5 inch shell, however this one wont explode on the ship, thus hopefully saving many lives for the sailers onboard.
just imagine a huge ship with tons of those all fireing at onnce
they would turn enemy ships into metal cheese

Jumpstart the arms race.
when did it ever stop?
It won't explode on the ship it's FIRED from, but a carbon-coated metal slug at hypersonic speeds does a LOT of exploding on impact.Vilham wrote:

EDIT:
The odds were in favour of the US. Less ships, but better ones, and better aircraft, better intelligence, better strategy, and far better encryption. The Japanese had only won up until then because of surprise.Sgt.Davi wrote:

Anyways, i agree with that guy that said naval warfare is dying, modern day warfare is about stealth, and, hiding an aircraft carrier behind a rock won't do the trick.
RAF ftw.

Pretty cool, but then again, so was the Comanche.
Is it really worth the billions it will cost to make? As said by someone else, Naval warfare is getting less and less of a possibility.
Nice find.

Nope. We're not buying it. Just made by a British company. The Americans are paying us loads for it.jord wrote:

Strange. You'd think that they'd make it themselves with the huge defence industry they have and their whole ethos of making their own shit when it comes to defence. Especially on a big piece of kit like this.
