The people listed (Jim Gaffigan, Brian Pohsen, Bill Hicks (THE man)) are much funnier. I saw a stand-up special from Daniel Tosh that was hilarious.
I still like the old school Richard Pryor specials and even Bill Cosby: Himself (even though he is an idiot) more than really anything I have seen lately. Dave Chapelle comes close though, as does Chris Rock's first special - especially the part where he talks about asking a chick for a blow job.

Yeah, I watched that when it aired last week or so. I hadn't seen any of his material but it was pretty damn funny.

I always hear people talking about how insanely funny Dane Cook is, so I finally watched this show, and thought he needed to take some adderall, sit down, and shut the fuck up to let a real comedian perform. I shortly thereafter realized I have little respect for the people who had such wild opinions of him.

Wow didnt know that there were this many Dane Cook haters on this forum. This is really the only stand up ive seen from him and I think its funny.
I like Dane Cooke myself. I can understand what others dont like in him, but i like it. Probably the favorite is Doug Stanhope at the moment. He's a riot and has IMO a good outlook on humour that americans dont always find funny. Oh well, the rest of us get it (some americans included).

Dane Cook is one of the funniest comedians I've seen. He has some awesome stories that most anyone can relate to, and if not, then you can imagine someone doing it and its still funny. Dane haters just don't like him cause he probably made a joke about them (race, habits, past experiences, etc...) and they got offended. You don't have to be snarky, just listen to some of his CDs, he is a RIOT!
