Disable embedded youtube videos?

Couple of reasons why

- They seem to cause a fair amount of lag when loading up a page. Even though I have 1.5GB of RAM and Internets that goes @ 650KB/s

- Sometimes they freeze my computer, forcing me to have to do a manual restart

- Mainly lag

And so instead of the embed it would just show as a link or something

Maybe an addon with firefox?
Actually, if you never want to watch youtube videos again then you could block their IP in your firewall.
Thats about it however.

No, embedding is good. You get to see a preview screenshot of the vid thats put up.

I take it your not using Mozilla Kickass FireFox

I never said get rid of it. I was asking if there's a way to disable it. Like how you can disable Avatars/Sigs/Images/Smileys etc..

I am using Firefox. And I don't want to stop YouTube forever

Just don't want the embed feature in the forums
