And on the other side of the world Melbourne is enjoying 33+ Celcius every day, and has been for the last 2 months. Also we get a shitload of 40 degrees or near enough round new years....oh what joy that was...

1) Youre being a stereotypical Canadian fucktard (read: cant stand to not complain about America for more than five seconds) 2) If you hate it THAT much, move.

Oh, and around western Washington its been in the 20s (normally high 30s to 40s)

Today we got to -33 degrees (Celcius) without windchill.
With windchill it was -48 degrees!!!!
Thats almsot getting to the point of rediculous tbh.
How are temperatures over there.
dam that is cold. How do you cope? Here in scotland, where I stay, it barely goes below -1 at the worst of times. If it does drop to this temperature, people usually cant cope and cant get into work because of icey roads.

Perth Aust. It only hit about 37C today. But the other day it was 42C. Lowest this year (so far) has probably been about 20C.

Damn I envy you! (honestly, I do envy you). It's only around -10°C here in Montreal! I mean, it's almost February and we didn't get any real cold temperature this winter again. I want my -30/40 back just like it was 15 years ago (and back when I was living in N.-B.). Many times we had schools closed because it was below 40 I just love very cold winters for some reason. My dream vacation would be 2 weeks in Antarctica!

The coldest I experienced was -56°C with windchill in mid 90s (around 95 or 96). We went outside but I was not wearing enough layers, and after 10-15 minutes I could barely walk hehe. I still remember the pain of defrosting once I got inside the house. My cousin was wearing a rubber waterproof suit over his clothes and it just froze and broke in pieces hehe. Fun times.

But yeah,  -48 is quite cold Cheerz mate!

Something fun to do when it's that cold is to dip toiletpaper rolls in a bucket of water and throwing them out the window. If you live higher than ground level it's fun. They smash into pieces.

At school its fucking hot. I have to wear a blazer and tie all the time in the 35 degree celcius heat. Plus they wont let us take off our blazer when we have assembly, and it gets really fuckin sweaty (we do assemblies(sp?) outside). Even some of our rooms dont have air conditioning, which is such a bitch because of all the people in it creating body heat.

IMHO I'd rather be in the cold than the hot.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
